About the TSC

The Toronto Sports Council (TSC) is a not-for-profit organization that represents the large spectrum sports players in Toronto.

The TSC is a legacy of Toronto's 2008 Olympic Bid and is recognized as the City's "Voice for Sport" by Toronto City Council.

The TSC facilitates the development of long-term strategies that build healthier communities through sport.

GWN Dragon Boat Challenge

Date: September 11th/12th, 2010
Location: Marilyn Bell Park, Toronto, Ontario - Western Beaches Watercourse

This world class venue has recently been host to a number of elite dragon boat events, including the 2006 World Club Crew Championships, 2007 Central Region Race Off: World Championship Qualifier, and the 2008 Canadian National Championships.

Organized in association with the GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon. You can fundraise for any area in the Princess Margaret Hospital such as a research area, a clinic, a program or a special project.  There is no fundraising minimum.

York University site for track & field in the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games

Games organizers have confirmed that York University will be the site for track & field and University officials confirmed the signing of a letter of intent to stage the events - approvals need to be confirmed in September by the Games directors and partners.

The York cluster of venues, a hub of sport facilities at Toronto’s north end, was previously slated to include tennis and rugby. It already is host venue of a major professional tennis tournament, the Rogers Cup, the Tennis Canada offices, and has held international rugby events in the past. The 2015 Pan Am rugby tournament was moved to York from Fletcher’s Fields in nearby Markham.

Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Selects Agency To Create Brand

Endeavour Marketing and Trajectory collaboration wins competition!
Released June 16, 2010 - Endeavour Marketing and Trajectory teamed up to win the branding project for the Toronto 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games, following the selection competition’s final phase last week judged by a panel of sport and marketing experts.
Nineteen agencies submitted qualifications in the first phase of the process, with three selected to present proposals to the judging panel. The proposals were scored on brand planning, development and creative. Top scoring for the Endeavour/Trajectory was unanimous. Panelists included Ian Troop, CEO, Toronto 2015; Michel Frappier, Chair, Ontario Advertising Review Board; Allan Middleton, professor, Schulich School of Business and Richard Peddie, President and CEO, Maple Leaf Sports + Entertainment.
Creating the Toronto 2015 brand and visual identity is a critical element in marketing the Toronto 2015 Games to sponsors, spectators and visitors.
Work on the project begins immediately. The brand strategy, plan and design is targeted for completion this summer. Consumer testing and development of the brand identity handbook will follow and several tactics will be ready to launch soon after.

The newly-constructed Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Village will be located at the heart of the Games on an 80-acre site next to the Don River in Toronto’s waterfront district.

The Village will be the Games-time home for up to 8,500 athletes and team officials, and will incorporate a full range of conveniences and amenities.

Located just east of downtown Toronto, the Village is within 45 minutes of almost all Games venues and less than 25 minutes from the airport. All Village facilities in use during the Parapan American Games will be fully accessible and provide a barrier-free environment.

Construction of supporting infrastructure is already well underway, ensuring that the Pan American Village will be ready for the Games.
